A bit of history...  The Loralei

High atop a hillside, with a breathtaking
view of North Carolina's awe-inspiring
 Cold Mountain, sits a magnificent
antebellum style mansion...
  The Loralei Inn.

The Loralei Inn has a delightful history.  Settle back and
read a bit, in the words of
Judy Jones, your hostess.

"My granddaddy owned this land, and I started trying to buy it from him when I was fifteen years old.  Took me fourteen years.  He did teach me that patience is a virtue."

Judy Jones was born to this land, and earned its ownership.  Her dream of building an antebellum style mansion high atop the central hill was realized during this past decade.  The Loralei, named for Judy's daughter, Lora, embodies all the majesty and grace of bygone days.

"We used to come up on the hill and cut thistles.  He was cutting and I was riding.  We stopped here where the house stands now, to eat lunch.  I'd say one of these days I'm going to have me a house right here.  Daddy would say now, 'I think she has almost got her one.'  He would say I was like a little feist dog about that house."

So Judy built her dream, and now invites you to come share the hilltop with her, at The Loralei Inn where dreams come true.
